While making this animation we took some life drawing classes which contained some action poses so that we could learn the motion of the human body. Some of the exercises we done were quick drawings (1 minute - 5 seconds), these were done quickly so we would not try to capture any detail but rather the motion of the model.
In this drawing the model assumed to dynamic poses and we had to finish each drawing with a diminishing time limit from 20 seconds down to 5 seconds from the top left to bottom right. We had to capture the motion of the model and forego any detail, something that I tend to put too much emphasis on.
in this drawing we had to draw the model in one action position but when she re-positions we had to place it so that it feels as though its two models in a fight pose. Afterwards Dave, our lecturer, commented on how the action line aren't intersecting at the correct points which means that this drawing seems alot more static that it should be. From this I learned that I needed to place my action lines down early and build my drawings around that to give it the action feel.
Some Drawings we did where quick one minute drawings where afterwards we used a range of media to add "force" into the motion of the model. I did this mostly through showing how the air flow would be as the figures swung.
